SET-UP STATION/STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL STATION.
Loading of the Indumatik during machining is possible at any time via a set-up station. This means that workpiece pallets can be set up while the processing machine is cutting.
The corresponding set-up and unloading instructions are shown on the display to provide the best possible support for the operator during set-up and to avoid errors.
Available either as a 2-fold or as a 1-fold station with turning function.

FAQ - Your questions, our answers
What is a set-up station and what function does it perform in the automation system?
A set-up station is a specially developed interface in the automation system at which workpiece pallets or devices are prepared (set up) for storage or removed after retrieval. It enables an efficient and safe material flow between the automated storage system and the operating personnel.
Why is a zero-point clamping system importantWhat are the advantages of using an Indumatik set-up station in conjunction with an automated storage system
- Set-up during machining time: Workpiece pallets can be prepared while the processing machine is working, which reduces downtimes.
- Error prevention: Clear instructions on a display support the operator and increase process reliability.
- Flexibility and efficiency: Various designs and storage shelves facilitate organization and increase productivity.
For which workpiece or pallet types is the Indumatik set-up station suitable?
The set-up station is designed for different pallet sizes and workpiece diameters (up to 400 mm) and can be adapted to different pallet and workpiece types.
How is the set-up station operated and integrated into existing production processes?
Operation is user-friendly via an integrated display with step-by-step instructions. Integration into existing processes is flexible, as the set-up station is designed as an interface between the warehouse and the processing machine and can be adapted to individual requirements.
What safety precautions must be observed when using the set-up station?
The station is ergonomically and safely designed to prevent operating errors. Clear instructions and safety mechanisms ensure safe operation and protect personnel during the set-up process.
Can the set-up station be adapted to individual customer requirements?
Yes, the set-up station has a modular design and can be individually tailored to customer requirements in terms of size, function and equipment.
What different configurations of set-up stations are available for the Indumatik?
There are various configurations of set-up stations that are tailored to different requirements. These include:
- 2-fold set-up station: For Indumatik systems up to 200 kg, suitable for pallet sizes of 200x200 mm, 320x320 mm and 400x400 mm. It has two separate stations with drawers for loading and unloading pallets.
- INDUMATIC CHECKING STATION 600: A single station for Indumatik 200/600, which can accommodate 400x400 mm and 500x500 mm pallets.
- INDUMATIC CHECKING STATION 900: Also a single station for Indumatik 200/500, which supports larger pallets from 400x400 mm to 800x800 mm. Both single stations offer a rotating set-up station.
What pallet sizes and workpiece diameters can be handled by the set-up stations?
The set-up stations are designed for a wide range of pallet sizes and workpiece diameters:
- 2-fold set-up station: pallets of size 200x200 mm, 320x320 mm, 400x400 mm. Permissible workpiece diameter up to 400 mm.
- INDUMATIC CHECKING STATION 600: pallets of size 400x400 mm, 500x500 mm. Permissible workpiece diameter up to 600 mm.
- INDUMATIC CHECKING STATION 900: Pallets size 400x400 mm, 500x500 mm, 630x630 mm, 800x800 mm. Permissible workpiece diameter up to 900 mm.
What does "rotating setup station" mean and what advantages does it offer?
A "rotating setup station" is a function that is available with the single stations (Indumatik setup station 600 and 900). It makes it possible to rotate the pallet through 360°. The main advantage of this function is that all four sides of the workpiece are accessible for clamping. This simplifies the set-up of complex workpieces and increases flexibility when clamping.
How are pallets clamped at the set-up station?
The pallets are clamped mechanically via a clamping pin at all the set-up stations mentioned, both the 2-fold station and the single stations (600 and 900). This ensures that the pallets are held securely and precisely during the set-up process.
